Tustin, Orange County
Columbus Tustin, a carriage maker from Northern California, laid out Tustin City in 1868 and gave away lots to attract settlers. The original streets survive as Old Town Tustin, where Victorian houses and early storefronts cluster around Main Street and El Camino Real. The community calls itself the City of Trees, a nod to the sycamores that once dotted the plain.
